Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section " 49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!
Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these leaders have never disclosed it.
This is called "49-O".
Why should you go and say " I VOTE NOBODY"... because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them.
This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way; of our whole political system.... it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....
Please spread this news to as many as you know...
Seems to be a wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India ... show your power, expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful than voting... so don't miss your chance. So either vote, or vote not to vote (vote 49-O) and pass this info
on...

An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the
United Nations Assembly that made the world community smile.
A representative from India began: 'Before beginning my talk I want to
tell you something about Rishi Kashyap of Kashmir, after whom Kashmir
is named.
When he struck a rock and it brought forth water, he thought, 'What a
good opportunity to have a bath.'
He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the
water.
When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A
Pakistani had stolen them.'
The Pakistani representative jumped up furiously and shouted, 'What are
you talking about? The Pakistanis weren't there then.'
The Indian representative smiled and said, 'And now that we have made
that clear, I will begin my speech.'
And they say Kashmir belongs to them......

Public Grievance System in INDIA
Dear All,
Government of India has an online Grievance forum at http://pgportal.gov.in/
Can you imagine this is happening in INDIA?
The govt. wants people to use this tool to highlight the problems they faced while dealing with Government officials or departments like Passport Office, Electricity board, BSNL/MTNL, Railways etc.
I know many people will say that these things don't work in India, but this actually works as one of our colleague in CSC found. The guy I'm talking about lives in Faridabad. Couple of months back, the Faridabad Municipal Corporation laid new roads in his area and the residents were very happy about it. But 2 weeks later, BSNL dug up the newly laid roads to install new cables which annoyed all the residents including this guy. But it was only this guy! Who used the above listed grievance forum to highlight his concern. And to his surprise, BSNL and Municipal Corporation of Faridabad were served a show cause notice and the guy received a copy of the notice in one week. Government has asked the MC and BSNL about the goof up as it's clear that both the government departments were not in sync at all.
So use this grievance forum and educate others who don't know about this facility. This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about the ' System ' in India.

College = Jail ?? - timesnow report
Recently I have seen an youtube video http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=7X6OyMBNpyQ . It shows that JEPPIAR college is jail. In fact it is true tooo. Few of my friends were studying there. They have told me that. But this time it has been revealed to the world by TIMESNOW video man.
I do not know how these colleges get accredition to deemed universities. All it shows that is anything can happen in Tamilnadu if you pay money. Moreover the correspondent of this college Mr.Jeppiar doesnot even know english, but he has become 'Father of Education' in Tamilnadu. This title was given by Tamilnadu government.
A sample for his english 'I have 2 daughters, both girls'.
